Dr. Karen Hannah
Chiropractor
Dr. Karen Hannah is originally from Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada. She lived there until she was eight when she and her family moved to Davenport, Iowa. After being a student athletic trainer for five years in high school, she pursued a pre-medicine career at Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude and earned her Bachelor of Science (Zoology) and minors in Psychology and Chemistry in May of 2006. And in October 2009, Dr. Karen earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic. In September 2010, Dr. Karen opened Touch of Wellness Chiropractic in Morton, Illinois.
Since opening her practice in 2010, Dr. Karen has pursued post doctorate certifications and degrees in Acupuncture, Animal Chiropractic, and has become a certified Medical Examiner for the Department of Transportation. She has had the opportunity to serve not only her community as an EDC board member, Ambassador for the Morton Chamber of Commerce and Sweet Shop Co-Chairman of the Morton Pumpkin Festival, but also impoverished communities around the world as one of the doctors of Peak Potential Outreach. Dr. Karen has experienced 7 week long health mission trips to Fiji with Peak Potential Outreach, providing care to thousands of patients with the non-profit organization.
Dr. Karen currently sees human patients at her clinic, Touch of Wellness Chiropractic, in Morton, IL, and sees animal patients in 3 different locations: Pine Lakes Kennel Doggy Daycare & Development Center in Washington, IL; SmartVet in Normal, IL; and Hoerr Veterinary Service in Morton, IL.
Outside of work, Dr. Karen loves to travel, play volleyball, watch sports and go to the beach (but not in Iowa!). If she catches you wearing socks with sandals, you can guarantee she is going to say something! Don't worry though, she wont be a "Karen" because one of her biggest pet peeves is when people are rude. All-in-all, Dr. Karen loves making a difference in someone’s life - no matter the breed or size the of animal, human or not, especially when it comes to Chiropractic care.
